Torres set for mega move and other red-hot gossip
(29-01-2011) Liverpool will let striker Fernando Torres join Chelsea provided they meet the asking price, which is a British record fee of £50m. But Liverpool might accept a part-exchange deal which would involve £8m-rated Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka returning to Anfield. Elsewhere, Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is set to make a surprise £26m move for Athletic Bilbao's striker Fernando Llorente; West Ham hope to sign former Arsenal midfielder Edu before the transfer window shuts; and Manchester United have won the £20m race to sign Sunderland's emerging England midfielder Jordan Henderson, with the 20-year-old is set to move to Old Trafford in the summer.
