King Kenny ready to bolster squad

(14-01-2011) New Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is desperate for cash to bolster the club’s faltering squad. Having lost his first two games in charge of the Reds, Dalglish will sit down with owner John W Henry on Friday to see if he will be given transfer cash this month. With the Merseysiders only four points off the drop zone after their midweek loss to Blackpool, Dalglish said: "Whether there will be any players coming in or moving around, I don't know. I can always make a request. It might not always be accepted but I've never broached the subject of money being available with the owners. If there is the possibility of bringing somebody in, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.” Recent reports have suggested Liverpool are chasing £18m-rated Ajax hitman Luis Suarez as well as Southampton wonder kid Alex Chamberlain who is valued at £10m.
