Spurs have Pienaar offer accepted

(18-01-2011) Tottenham have had an offer for South Africa playmaker Steven Pienaar accepted by Everton. Confirmation of the agreement comes only days after a bid for the 28-year-old was also accepted from Chelsea. The midfielder, Everton’s current Player of the Year, now seems to have a straight choice between Spurs and their London rivals. Pienaar is out of contract at the end of the season and Chelsea are believed to have offered £3m for the former Ajax and Borussia Dortmund player. The Toffees have decided to cash in now to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer. Pienaar has previously rejected a new contract at Goodison Park.
