Stevie G’s actions don’t worry Rafa

Rafa Benitez is not overly worried that star midfielder Steven Gerrard will be censored for clashing with Portsmouth's Michael Brown during the Reds 4-1 win on Monday. Two goals from Fernando Torres and strikes by Ryan Babel and Alberto Aquilani ensured the points at Anfield. The victory, however, was overshadowed slightly by Gerrard's apparent forearm to the back of Brown's neck late in the game. The Liverpool captain was immediately substituted by Benitez. "I don't think so," said the Spaniard when asked if he was worried about action being taken against Gerrard. "I haven't seen it but I think it was nothing." The incident comes only a week after Gerrard allegedly made a rude gesture at the referee during the Reds shock loss to Wigan. He escaped censure because the official did not spot it.
