Another brace by Wayne Rooney has shown just why Real Madrid are “obsessed” with signing the Manchester United ace. The striker struck twice on Sunday during the Red Devils methodical 3-0 win over Fulham to reclaim top spot on the EPL standings. Now, according to Monday’s edition of The Sun newspaper, Real have installed him as their top transfer target; a player they are ready to break the bank for! “It seems that it's an obsession to go for Rooney. Sometimes it's a point of money and if there's a proposal maybe there will be a €100m deal,” former Real president Ramon Calderon is quoted as saying. A move, although unlikely as it is hard to see United selling their most prized asset for the second successive season, would see Rooney link up with his former United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo at Real.
