Neville’s World Cup dream looking good
Gary Neville could be in line for surprise recall to the England squad for the World Cup. The Manchester United defender, who won the last of his 85 caps almost three years ago, has suddenly found himself back in the spotlight following injuries to regular England right-backs Wes Brown and Glen Johnson. Neville, who has been in good form recently, is not however getting carried away. "England is out of my hands," commented the 35-year-old on Thursday. "It has not happened for two to three years and I am not holding out for a call but I have not retired. I always said I never would. I am playing for United and would play for my country." Neville has only featured in one of Fabio Capello’s England squads - the double-header against Kazakhstan and Andorra last June - but never featured in the matches.
