Cash injection no consolation for El Nino

Liverpool are set for a massive influx of cash but still face losing frustrated star striker Fernando Torres. According to reports an American investment company are set to buy a 40% stake in the club which will result in a huge injection of money. The Merseysider’s current American owners are looking to bring in fresh capital that will allow debts to be reduced and a new stadium to be built. This is little consolation for Torres who after three years of no silverware is growing increasingly frustrated at the club’s lack of success. “I want to be fighting for the EPL, the Champions League or the Europa League, but to do this we need signings to come,” explained the striker on Sunday. “What is really important is that the club makes an effort and brings in important players to improve the quality of the squad.”
