Reds ban Spanish star

Liverpool have suspended Albert Rieira after his astonishing verbal attack on manager Rafa Benitez. The Spanish winger left his boss angered after he branded the Reds "a sinking ship" and slammed Benitez's management style in a radio interview. The 27-year-old, who has not featured much this season, is set to be fined two weeks wages of approximately £80,000. He has also been told to stay away from the club until next week. "This year I have not played at all and I do not know why,” Rieira told Spanish radio station Marca. "When that starts happening, you have to assume it is personal rather than professional." It is believed that Liverpool are now looking to offload Rieira to Spartak or CSKA Moscow.
