Real target troubled Chelsea star

Troubled Chelsea star Ashley Cole is on Real Madrid’s wanted list as they bid to rebuild after their Champions League disaster. The La Liga giants crashed out of Europe’s premier club competition to Lyon last week. They have now turned their attention to snapping up more of the world’s best players with 29-year-old Cole top of their list. The defender is however currently recovering from a broken ankle and the break-up of his marriage to pop star Cheryl Cole. "The Englishman from Chelsea is the player for the job. He is one of the best players in the world and wants to come to Spain,” commented a Real source on Monday. Real, who spent more than €250m last summer on the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka, are currently top of the La Liga on goal difference from Barcelona.
