Good news on Brown

Wes Brown breathed a sigh of relief on Tuesday after it was confirmed that he would only be on the sidelines for six weeks. The Manchester United defender has had an anxious few days after fears that he had broken his foot in Saturday’s win over Wolves. If that had indeed been the case, the versatile defender would have missed the title run-in as well as the World Cup. Now it looks as though he will play in United’s final three games of the season. "It's just unfortunate,” commented United manager Sir Alex Ferguson on Tuesday. "He has had a career blighted by injury and they've all been long ones. He'll be out for four to six weeks. I hope to get him back for some of the season."
