Tevez is champing at the bit

Carlos Tevez insists he is in prime mental and physical condition for the World Cup. The plucky Argentina striker struggled to make an impact for his country during the qualifiers and drew much criticism in his home country. But following a superb season for Manchester City, the 26-year-old is determined to make a huge splash in South Africa. "This is a World Cup. Who can not been motivated when they have this opportunity,” asked Tevez on Sunday. "In the qualifiers everything was a lot more difficult. Injuries didn't allow me to be fully fit, something that's not the case today. Honestly I feel 10 out of 10.” Argentina face South Korea, Nigeria and Greece in Group B. Tevez can’t wait to get stuck in. "I am a lot more focused than four years ago, I'm preparing myself very much for the first game,” he added.
