Dunga slams Portugals’ negative tactics

Brazil coach Dunga has slammed Portugal for their defensive tactics in Friday's dour 0-0 draw at the Moses Mabida Stadium in Durban. The result meant both teams qualified for the last 16 of the World Cup."The Portuguese team defended from midfield backwards," he moaned. "It made it difficult to penetrate their defence. We nevertheless had three or four goalscoring opportunities." Dunga also said he believed that Brazil were not hindered by absent midfielders Kaka (suspended) and Elano (injured)."Kaka and Elano are exceptional players," added Dunga. "But the way in which Portugal played, it would have made it difficult for Kaka and Elano to help us more today." The result sees Brazil take on Chile in the last 16 on Monday, while Portugal clash with pre-tournament favourites Spain on Tuesday.
