Queiroz labels drab draw a ‘football feast’
Carlos Queiroz believes Portugal and Brazil served up a “football feast in Durban on Friday night, despite boos ringing out from the stands after the goalless draw. The result meant Brazil finished top of Group G with Portugal second. Queiroz insisted, however, the contest contained plenty of excitement. "I think it was a great show, a football feast," he said afterwards. "Brazil played very strong in the first few minutes but after their initial period of domination, Portugal slowly started to control the game. In the end, it was a game where we attacked and they defended.” He added: “Today is a day to celebrate because Portugal has qualified with a great degree of merit. I think the draw was a fair result." Portugal have not conceded a goal in the World Cup so far, and have kept a clean sheet in 22 of the last 26 internationals.
