Don Fabio reads Roo the riot act

Fabio Capello has told Wayne Rooney to keep his cool at the World Cup. The fiery striker has been in the spotlight following a petulant display in England’s final friendly match against a South African club team last week that saw him booked for dissent. Capello has now sternly spoken to the striker, who was sent off during his country’s exit from the 2006 World Cup. "Wayne Rooney played all the qualifying games for the World Cup and had no problems with the referees,” said Capello on Friday. "I hope we see the same Rooney during the World Cup. I have spoken with him but Rooney is a fantastic player because he wants to win. The hunger in him is very strong to win. But you have to be careful every time and also in this World Cup you have to be careful and respect the referees."
