Roo slams England Boo Boys

Wayne Rooney has slammed England’s fans for booing the team during the dull goalless draw with Algeria on Friday. Trudging off after another anonymous display, the Manchester United striker turned to the ITV cameras and moaned: "It's nice to see your home fans booing you." England captain Steven Gerrard however made no excuses for England’s toothless display. "We're not happy with the performance, we need more,” Gerrard told ITV1 afterwards. "We want to stay in this tournament until the final stages.” He added: "We were not good enough to make the breakthrough in the final third. We've not got any excuses, we know what we have to do. We have to win the final game which adds to the pressure but at this level you have to handle that pressure.” England need to beat Slovenia in their final match to qualify for the knockout stages.
