New Barca boss confident of landing Fab
Barcelona are preparing to make an all out effort to finally secure the signature of Cesc Fabregas. The La Liga giants, who have been chasing the Arsenal midfield maestro for the past year, now have a new president, Sandro Rosell, who replaces outgoing chief Joan Laporta - with Rosell determined to make a big splash by finally landing Fabregas. Barcelona have already had a £29m bid for the player turned down but Rosell is adamant they will get their man. "When Laporta and I get together, he will explain at what stage the Cesc situation is at. If negotiations are advanced and the coaching staff want the player, we will continue with the negotiations, without doubt. Until July 1 we can't do anything as Laporta and his team remain in charge for two more weeks, but if they need help then we will be the first to give it."
