Special One gets paltry transfer kitty
Jose Mourinho’s hopes of making a big splash in the transfer market for Real Madrid have been dealt a blow, with news that he will receive a paltry £45m to spend this summer. If one considers that the Spanish giants spent a whopping £240m last year on Ronaldo, Kaka, Benzema, and Albiol, then the ‘Special One’ has received chicken feed to shape the squad in his image. Inter Milan's Brazilian right-back Maicon and Lazio's Serbian left-back Aleksander Kolarov are both believed to be high on his wanted list. Real are also hoping to use players as bargaining chips as they look to bring in new stars. This could mean Liverpool being offered Fernando Gago and Rafael Van der Vaart as part of any Steven Gerrard deal, while Kaka could be used if they decide to move for Chelsea’s Frank Lampard.
