Dutch legend in line for Villa hot-seat

(01-09-2010) Dutch football legend Ronald Koeman could be in line to take over the managerial reins at Aston Villa. The Birmingham-based club have been without a permanent manager since Martin O’Neill walked out in July. Kevin MacDonald has taken over in a temporary capacity in that time. "Of course I am interested to listen to everybody," Koeman told BBC Sport on Tuesday. Koeman has managed PSV Eindhoven, Valencia, and Benfica, and was assistant at Barcelona and the Dutch national team. The 47-year-old is currently out of a job having left AZ Alkmaar. "There was a contact with my agent but nothing more than that, about one week ago or something," added Koeman. "Until now I didn't know anything about that. If they are interested they can call me."
