Nando set to explode – Red Roy

(30-09-2010) Roy Hodgson expects star striker Fernando Torres to explode into action against Dutch team Utrecht in the Europa League on Thursday. Spanish star Torres has had a disappointing start to the season, scoring a single goal for the Merseysiders. However, there were glimpses of a return to the form that made him the most feared striker in the EPL in the Red’s match against Sunderland last Saturday. “He has been behind the last four goals we have scored, so I don't think there's anything wrong with his confidence,” insisted Hodgson on Wednesday. "Yes, he'd like to have that goal. Everyone knows goalscorers thrive on them. The thing with top goalscorers, though, is you know it will come again.” He added: "I think the injury problems are behind him now. I wouldn't dream of playing him if he wasn't right."
