United legend out for two weeks

(27-09-2010) Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is set for two weeks on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury at Bolton on Sunday. The Welsh winger limped off during the Red Devils 2-2 draw at the Reebok Stadium and is set to miss Wednesday's Champions League tie at Valencia and Saturday's EPL game at Sunderland. "It is a hamstring and I am afraid he will be out for a couple of weeks," United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told ESPN. A question mark also hangs over Wayne Rooney’s fitness after he picked up an ankle knock in the same game. "Wayne Rooney had a bit of a knock," confirmed assistant manager Mike Phelan. "He has a little issue with his ankle. We don't know how serious it is. We will have a look in the morning but we think he will be OK for Wednesday.”
