Mancini shows Hart despite Joe’s howler

(12-09-2010) Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini will continue to back young goalkeeper Joe Hart despite his howler that gifted Blackburn a goal on Saturday. Patrick Vieira saved the big-spending Blues the blushes by grabbing an equaliser at Eastlands. "It was a strange goal. It can happen. This is football. Joe Hart is a good goalkeeper,” said Mancini afterwards. "We were very unlucky. We had six players out and must have had 25 chances to score against Blackburn. It is very hard when teams put 10 players behind the ball but we have to try and find a solution." Mancini controversially installed Hart as his No.1 ‘keeper ahead of the experienced Shay Given at the beginning of the season.
