Gunners in for teenage ‘keeper and other red-hot gossip

(05-09-2010) Arsenal are reportedly one of several EPL clubs eyeing Dynamo Kiev's highly-rated goalkeeper Maxim Koval. According to reports, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger sees the 17-year-old as the long-term solution to the goalkeeper problems at the Emirates, where Almunia and Fabianski have disappointed over the past two seasons. Elsewhere, Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has urged the club to give caretaker boss Kevin MacDonald the permanent manager's job; West Ham's new summer signing Thomas Hitzlsperger faces another two weeks on the sidelines as he struggles to recover from the injury he picked up on international duty for Germany last month; and a "hill of hell", which stands 10ft-tall, 25ft-long, has been installed at Manchester City's training base to improve the team's fitness levels.
