(02-09-2010) Arsenal are eyeing a 17-year-old Japanese striker named Ryo Miyaichi. According to reports, Arsene Wenger was impressed by the two-footed youngster following a recent trial at the Emirates. The Gunners face a fight with Ajax Amsterdam for Miyaichi’s signature. Elsewhere, Tottenham striker Robbie Keane rejected the chance to join Turkish side Besiktas in an £8m deal and will try and fight for his place at White Hart Lane; West Ham failed to sign targets Yakubu Ayegbeni from Everton and Portsmouth's Marc Wilson on transfer deadline-day due to a shortage of cash; Manchester United could have signed their new £7.5m Portuguese striker Bebe for as little as £125,000 last January; and Javier Mascherano has claimed broken promises by Liverpool - and not his family's failure to settle on Merseyside - prompted his decision to leave Anfield for Barcelona.
