According to reports, Barca believe the time is right to make a move for Tevez following allegations of a bust-up between him and City manager Roberto Mancini. Elsewhere, Chelsea and Arsenal are set to fight it out for unsettled Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger; Tottenham are back in the hunt for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano after the Brazilian fell out of favour at the Andalusian side; Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has left the door open to a move to Manchester United after describing reports that he had already agreed a move to Bayern Munich as "humbug"; and Aston Villa are mulling over an £8m bid for out-of-favour Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar in the upcoming January transfer window.
