Six-day period vital for United – Fergie

(03-12-2010) A six-day period later this month is key to Manchester United’s chances of reclaiming the EPL title, reckons Sir Alex Fergsuon. The Red Devils tackle perennial rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford on Monday week before heading to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on December 19. "You always want to win those games because I think they're really significant,” said Fergie on Thursday. "We've managed to claw ourselves into a position two points ahead of Chelsea. So the game at Stamford Bridge and Arsenal's trip to Manchester will certainly be very important." United kick off their December programme at Blackpool on Saturday, with further games against Sunderland, West Brom, Birmingham and Stoke over the Christmas period. "It's a hectic period but we have the players to cope. Hopefully we're in the right position come January," added the fiery Scot.
