EPL clubs chase Bayern star and other red-hot gossip

The 33-year-old is expected to cost around £4m. Elsewhere, Liverpool are keen on Zenit St Petersburg right-back Alexander Anyukov who is valued at £18m; Real Madrid are eying Manchester City's Carlos Tevez, and Emmanuel Adebayor or Manchester United's Javier Hernandez in the January transfer window to cover for injured striker Gonzalo Higuain; and Chelsea have identified Wolfsburg's Simon Kjaer as the solution to their ongoing centre-back problem.
