Ancelotti laments Blues fear

(09-12-2010) Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti lamented his attacking players “fear of football” following their 1-0 defeat at Marseille in the Champions League on Wednesday. The result ended the Blues unbeaten record in Group F. "Defensively there was tactical discipline and I asked for this from my players. We didn't have a lot of opportunities to shoot and score, we need to be clear with the final ball," Ancelotti told Sky Sports afterwards. Quizzed whether he thought his teams standard of play would suffice in their three important EPL games coming up, the Italian added: "We have to improve. We lost confidence up front, now we are a bit afraid to play football, we have to keep going, stay compact and prepare well for the next game." Chelsea, currently third in the EPL, play Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal in their next three games.
