Tevez crying for Argentina and other red-hot gossip

(12-12-2010) Carlos Tevez wants to leave Manchester City. According to reports, the Blues captain has handed in a transfer request citing homesickness. He apparently wants to return to Argentina so that he can be close to his family. He has however vowed to continue working hard for City until the time comes to return to South America. Elsewhere, Manchester United are planning a £20m bid for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young in January, Manchester City are ready to make a play for France playmaker Yoann Gourcuff - less than four months after he joined Lyon for £20m; Bayern Munich want to take Everton left-back Leighton Baines to the Bundesliga in the January transfer window; and Tottenham and Chelsea have joined the race for Manchester City and England defender Joleon Lescott.
