Rio scoffs at United doubters

(20-12-2010) Rio Ferdinand claims everyone connected with Manchester United Football Club is convinced they have the quality to reclaim the EPL title this season. Despite still being unbeaten in the league, and topping the standing’s, many people are still doubting whether the 18 times champions have what it takes to lift the crown they lost last season to Chelsea. “In the last four seasons we won the title three times. But on each of those occasions we didn't start the following season as favourites. That tells you something. People either don't think we are as good as we are, or don't want us to be. But within the walls of Manchester United, we know. And we also know what we are capable of,” commented Ferdinand on Sunday. "We have not had the greatest season yet in terms of consistency but that is what we are aiming for."
