Blackburn result will spur us on - Giggs

(13-12-2010) Ryan Giggs is hoping Manchester United can use their recent 7-1 thrashing of Blackburn as a springboard for the rest of the season. Speaking ahead of the Red Devils clash with archrivals Arsenal on Monday, Giggs said: "The Blackburn game is the benchmark. Everything clicked that day. Some of the forward play was exceptional. That is what we want and what we know we are capable of doing. In games and training, the idea is to go out and reach it again." United head into the clash with the Gunners at Old Trafford unbeaten this season."We are proud of the unbeaten record," added Giggs. "People have not given us the respect we think we deserve but that is probably down to the manner of our results.” United have drawn seven of their 15 league matches this season but still lie third. They can go top if they beat Arsenal.
