Gunners watching Villareal stopper and other red-hot gossip

(04-12-2010) Arsenal have turned their attentions to Villarreal goalkeeper Diego Lopez after missing out on Fulham's Mark Schwarzer and Liverpool's Pepe Reina last summer. According to reports, Gunners scouts watched the 29-year-old Lopez during Villarreal's Europa League win over Dynamo Zagreb earlier this week. Elsewhere, Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross is on Liverpool’s radar; Aston Villa have placed Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky at the top of their January wish list; and Chelsea and Manchester City target David Luiz admits he does not know if he'll still be a Benfica player after January, with the 23-year-old £25m-rated defender also attracting interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
