Gunners lose three players for the season

Arsenal’s season has really hit the skids in the last few days with the news that arguably their three best players will miss the rest of the season through injury. Cesc Fabregas, William Gallas and Andrei Arshavin are all crocked and look unlikely to feature in the title run-in. The Gunners currently lie third in the EPL standings, four points off the lead. Fabregas suffered a broken leg against Barcelona in the Champions League earlier this week, while Gallas injured his calf in the same match. Arshavin also has a calf strain, with the initial prognosis that he could be back in action by late April, although the omens are not good. And to compound matters, Gael Clichy and Denilson are also on the injured list and may miss their weekend clash game with Wolves.
