We need cash to flash – Rafa

Liverpool will flop again next season unless there is a massive injection of cash into the club, claims manager Rafa Benitez. The Spaniard also hinted that he has taken the Merseysiders as far as he possibly can unless expensive new players are brought in. "If we want to take one step forward we need money to compete with the top four. For six years I have been wheeling and dealing to keep this club at a very good level. I think now it's time to just focus on football and the game and see what happens,” said Benitez on Wednesday. "I watched Barcelona against Arsenal, in a massive stadium, big money and lots coming through the system. That's the way to do things if you want to compete at the maximum level.” Liverpool are in a desperate fight to finish fourth - currently lying sixth, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
