Barca chasing Arsenal star and other red-hot gossip

La Liga giants Barcelona are determined to prise Gael Clichy away from Arsenal. The Catalans are set to offer £10m for the left-back who was voted best in his position in the EPL last season. Clichy would compete with fellow Frenchman Eric Abidal for the position at the Nou Camp. Elsewhere, Manchester United are chasing 17-year-old Newcastle midfielder Haris Vuckic; Birmingham City want to take Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster on loan next season; Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic could be on his way to Juventus in a swap deal which would see goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon arriving at Old Trafford; Arsenal may move for Bolton defender Gary Cahill to replace William Gallas, who is out of contract at the end of the season; and Tottenham are tracking Everton playmaker Steven Pienaar who they value at £14m.
