Moyes scoffs at United link

Everton manager David Moyes has laughed of suggestions that he is in line to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. Ferguson is set to retire in 2012 and has tipped his fellow Scot as the best bet to take over from him, despite reports linking the Red Devils to luminaries such as Jose Mourinho, Guus Hiddink, and Pep Guardiola. Moyes however has scoffed at Fergie’s suggestion, claiming he is committed to the Toffees. "As far as I'm concerned this is a load of nonsense,” said Moyes on Thursday. "What I will say is I think it will be a terrible day when Sir Alex does finish." Moyes has impressed in his eight years at Goodison Park, making Everton a regular top eight club despite limited resources.
