Wenger hoping for an Easter miracle
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his charges are ready to be resurrected from the dead in their Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Barcelona on Tuesday. The tie is poised at 2-2 following last week’s clash at the Emirates. And Wenger is refusing to write his team’s chances of an upset at the Nou Camp off. "It's Easter you know, a time of resurrection," said Wenger mischievously on Monday. Arsenal came back from 2-0 down in the first leg and Wenger insists his injury-hit team have the necessary never-say-die spirit to pull off one of the all-time great European results by an English team. "The players have come back from the dead once and can do it again. They know they escaped being out of the competition and we have a chance we have to take. At 2-0 down I felt we needed a miracle, but I always had hope.”
