United more a team than Chelsea – Desailly

Former Chelsea skipper Marcel Desailly has launched a scathing attack on his old club, claiming that the Blues have under achieved compared to Manchester United this season. “I think five players have to leave the club. Previously the midfield was absolutely amazing. Now Joe Cole is not expressing himself, Ballack has disappeared, Mikel is not playing his best, and the team misses Essien,” said Desailly on Wednesday. The Blues play United this weekend in a top of the table clash. “When you look at the teams, United have a small advantage on the consistency they are showing in the midfield. Players like Darren Fletcher, Nani and Antonio Valencia have made a contribution. Let’s not even talk about Ryan Giggs. Right the way back to Edwin van der Sar, it’s a real team, a group. That’s why I believe Manchester United today have more energy than Chelsea.”
