United equal Euro record

Manchester United’s 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday saw the EPL champions achieve a 14th European away match without defeat! The remarkable run equalled the record set by Ajax Amsterdam between 1994-97. The win in the Russian capital city came courtesy of an Antonio Valencia goal, the Ecuador international’s second goal in as many games following his £16m transfer from Wigan. Said manager Sir Alex Ferguson: "I think we should be proud of it. It's not easy away from home in Europe." The Red Devils now require only one point from three games to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
