Reds to hang onto Dutch flop
Liverpool will not be selling Ryan Babel in the January transfer window, according to manager Rafael Benitez. The Dutch winger has been a major disappointment at Anfield since joining the club from Ajax in 2007 for £11.5m. "He (Babel) will have a chance to play," said Benitez after the Reds disappointing 1-1 FA Cup draw with Reading on Saturday. "He has to work hard. He's our player and he will have his chances. At this moment we are not trying to sell him." Babel is currently nursing an ankle injury. He has scored just nine league goals since arriving at Anfield although he has often been played out of position.
