Black Cats want Spurs ace and other transfer gossip

Robbie Keane is on the radar of Sunderland boss Steve Bruce. The Ireland international has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham this season with Jermaine Defoe and Peter Crouch in sparkling form. Bruce is now preparing a £9m offer for the Tottenham forward with the promise of regular first team football. Elsewhere, rumours are circulating that Michael Owen could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the summer having failed to impress Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson; Wigan will not prevent Maynor Figueroa leaving for "a good club" despite the Honduras international signing a new contract on Friday; and Wolves have held talks with Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts and hope to conclude a £2m deal.
